Everton are taking on Barcelona at Goodison Park!
As part of the fund-raising initiative established to acquire the David France Collection, a team of former Blues will take on a team of ex-Barca players on 28 March 2007.
Football legends Michael Laudrup and Luis Enrique, amongst others, will be part of the Spanish squad, whilst Everton hope to call upon the services of Championship-winning stars such as Dave Watson, Kevin Ratcliffe and Trevor Steven.
It will be the first time that an Everton team has played against a Barcelona side since 1924 when The Toffees won the 'Barcelona Cup', which was played to celebrate the Catalan club's 25th Anniversary that year.
The Everton Collection Charitable Trust is organizing this fantastic fixture to help raise funds to purchase the greatest collection of football memorabilia relating to a single club in the entire world.
The match is part of 'Heritage Week' - a series of events designed to help the Charity achieve its objectives.
