HOWARD KENDALL TO MANAGE EVERTON AGAIN!

The Everton Collection Charitable Trust has announced that Howard Kendall will be the manager of the Everton Former Players team set to take on Barcelona Former Players at Goodison Park on Wednesday 28 March 2007.

Howard is the most successful manager in Everton's history having led the team to two League Championships, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup during a fabulous spell in the mid-80s.

At one time he was linked with a switch to Barcelona but it was to Athletic Bilbao that he headed when he left Goodison for the first time in 1987.

He is still revered in Spain and, of course, is an Everton legend so he is an ideal and popular choice to lead a Blues team once again against Barcelona.

"I'm delighted to help this great Charity in any way I can," said Howard.

"It will be a terrific night at Goodison and I hope that many Evertonians will attend and recreate that great atmosphere we had for those European nights we had in 1985!"

1995 FA Cup winning captain Dave Watson, who played over 500 games for Everton, will once again wear the armband on 28 March and a whole host of other club favourites from the 80s and 90s have also confirmed their appearance.

Tickets for the match go on sale on 1 February from the box office at Goodison Park, priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

All profits from the game will go towards The Everton Collection Charitable Trust.
