Minutes of last meeting read & confirmed. Trainers Report Trainer made his report re players and the Secretary was instructed to ascertain Dr. Moore's instructions to Taylor. Report re Dr. Baxter having favourably reported as to Players Finney (left Back) of Accrington Stanley the Secretary was instructed to arrange for some of the Directors to see him play this week. Mr. Coates reported that his visit with Mr. Kirkwood to Blackburn to see Birtwistle was abortive, as he did not play and the Secretary was instructed to ascertain when and where he could be seen. Appointment The six invited candidates having attended before of Secretary the Directors, it was resolved that Mr. W. C. Cuff be appointed Secretary at a salary of £156 per annum; that his hours of attendance at the office of the Company be from 10 to 12.30 and from 3 to 5; that he hold himself in readiness to take such journeys as the directors may determine and that a legal agreement be entered into by him with the Co. v Stonyhurst The Fixture Committee having recommended this match for October 29th the same was approved.
