our approaching him but desired his
services on Saturday next. Resolved
he be given a trial at home as early
as possible.
Mr. Garner The Secretary was instructed to invite
Mr. Garner down.
Venables The Secretary reported that Venables
(Druids) had signed for Bolton Wanderers.
Mr. Bailiff This Druids goalkeeper was well
recommended by Mr. Postle.
Lofthouse The Secretary reported that Lofthouse
had been appointed trainer to the
English Team v Ireland on the 15th inst.
Preston N. E. The Secretary read applications from
& Burnley Preston North End & Burnley clubs
asking for generous treatment re the
transfer fees for McLaughlin, Donaldson
& Wright but it was resolved that
we could make no abatement.
Couper An application by Hearts of Midlothian
for the loan of Couper was declined.
A recommendation of a player by the
B'gham & District Works F. A. was recd.
