G. Wilson The Secretary reported the receipt of
wire from Newcastle United yesterday
asking if we were prepared to accept
£1000 in the event of their being able to
agree with Distillery & Wilson & that he
had replied in the affirmative.
The receipt of wire intimating that
a deputation from Middlesbro F.C. would
attend this meeting.
Later in the evening the Middlesbro
Secretary attended & enquired if we would
consider an offer for Wilson & stated that
his club would make an offer at once.
The Secretary was instructed to ask
Newcastle to settle at once.
Letters from Fulham, Sunderland and
Portsmouth making similar enquiries
were read.
