The Secretary reported the receipt of letter from Mr. Tom Houghton reiterating that he had promised that the payment of the transfer fees might be deferred to the end of the Season but that his Club intended to pay same at once. Colne The Secretary was instructed to arrange this fixture for the 30th inst. Roberts and Mr. Davies reported the visit of himself and Lawson Mr. Kelly to Southport on Saturday but could not recommend either player & it was resolved to do nothing meanwhile. Cope The left back of Oldham was however very favorably reported. McTavish A letter was read hereon & Mr. Kirkwood was deputed to proceed with the business.
