287. Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park November 2nd 1909. Present The full Board. Minutes The minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed. Reports The Doctors' reports was read. The Trainer made his report. The League Combination & A team games were reported. Gordon The Secretary reported that having seen this Amateur centre half back play at Colchester he could not recommend him. Allan The Secretary reported the visit of Mr. E. A. Bainbridge & himself to Bedlington on Saturday ; that Allan played out of his position viz. outside right; that they had arranged for his transfer on a month's trial at 50/- per week with a transfer fee to Bedlington of £50 if he suited us. Macfarlane That they were favorably impressed with the abilities of Macfarlane the outside right of Willington Athletic, Bedlington's opponents & that they had accordingly arranged for his transfer at 50/- per week - any wages he may receive for working at his trade to be in part payment of this wage, with a transfer fee of £30 and if we were satisfied with his abilities a further £20
