78 [Meeting of Directors at Goodison Park April 5 1910] Present The full Board except Dr. Baxter. Minutes The minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed. Reports The Cup tie League & Combination games were reported. The International match was reported. The Secretary reported that Carlisle United were unable to fulfil their Combination fixture on Saturday next owing to cup tie arrangements. Notts Coy. The Secretary reported that the League had imposed a fine of £50 and costs upon us for the non-fulfilment of our League engagement on the 29th ult. at Nottingham that he had applied for & was granted a hearing on Monday next at London. The Secretary read the Correspondence between himself Mr. Harris & the Secy. of the League & his view of the reply of Notts County of March 13 was confirmed. He was instructed to attend the meeting on Monday hereon & also to explain the reason for playing "Weak teams" as required. The Doctors report was read. The trainers made their reports.
