The Appeal
‘The story we will carry on, the glory of our team…’
David France now plans to sell his precious collection, with an intention for it to return home to the people of Merseyside, so that it can be enjoyed by Evertonians and football enthusiasts alike, preserving its integrity and historical significance.
The Collection has been valued at £1.2 million, but would fetch considerably more if broken up and sold as individual items. However, as a loyal Evertonian, David is passionate that it should remain in its entirety and has offered it to Evertonians for £800,000.
Everton Football Club itself has donated £250,000 to the Charitable Trust and a further £100,000 has been donated by Lord Grantchester. We’ve launched the appeal with a bang, but in order to reach our target, we need your help.

This unparalleled Collection of Football memorabilia is Everton and Merseyside’s heritage and should be put back in the hands of the supporters of the People’s Club. We are asking those who recognise its worth and historical importance, including the people of Merseyside and loyal Evertonians, to help us achieve our goal, and in doing so implore you to consider making a donation to the Everton Collection Charitable Trust.
