Anfield Split - To Buy or Not to Buy?

Houlding's connection with Everton was finally severed at a meeting on 15 March. Mr Howarth proposed that Everton's move to Goodison Road be cancelled. His proposal was defeated. Clayton then suggested that Houlding should be removed from the presidency, and his supporters Nisbet and Howarth from the Committee. This was approved by a large majority.
