As Spurs and Everton were preparing for the voyage home a group of Anglo-Chileans in Valparaiso decided to form their own football club. The name they chose for their club which has thrived in Chile ever since is, of course, Everton. Today the Ruleteros Society keeps the link between the clubs alive by fostering friendship amongst the fans of the Chilean and English Evertons.
