16 [Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park, August 14th 1916] Present W. R. Clayton Esq. (Chair) Messrs H. Banks A. Coffey J. Davies J. G. Davies H. Halsall B. Kelly Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Public It was resolved that the second public practice game be Practice games arranged for the 28th inst. at 6:30 pm. and that the gross proceeds be handed over to the Hospital Saturday Fund, The Stanley Hospital and the Bootle Borough Hospital, the respective amounts to be hereafter determined. Entertainments It was resolved that the Bond as prepared by the Secretary Tax be approved and that the Seal of the Company be affixed thereto. The Bond was thereupon sealed with the Company's seal in the presence of two Directors and the Secretary and duly signed sealed and delivered by Mr. Clayton as surety. The Secretary was instructed to ascertain whether the services of Parker and Brown would be available during the coming season and that in the meantime he reply to the applications by Glasgow Rangers and St Mirren respectively accordingly.
