L'pool Senior Cup Secy. was instructed to try & arrange with Final L'pool F.C. for this match to be played on Apl. 23rd. Reports re Players Mr. E. Green reported that he could not recommend Lynn (Coleraine) this player on form shown but suggested that he should be kept under observation. Wilkinson (Sheff. Wed.) Mr. A. Coffey reported that he considered this player too small, but that he should be seen again. Rochdale Players Mr. W. J. Sawyer reported that he did not consider any of these players good enough for as except Lewis (inside left) who had good ball control. Tippett was about 5'7 10st & frail. Eaton & Wallbanks Secy. reported that the former was not (Barnsley) of type required, but that Wallbanks (C.F.) was very promising. Gamble & Sherlaw Mr. J. Fare reported that there were possibilities (Brentford) about the former, but that he was not ripe for better class, the latter had played in his wrong position. Fryer (Helsby) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported very well of this I.L. who was 5'7½ & 11st. He stated he was quite good enough for C. L. football. Hewitt (Evenwood) Mr. J. Elliott gave a good report of this C.F. McCarthy & McCracken Mr. J. McGill gave a good report of these (Woodville Jr.) two players. Nicholson (St. Johnstone) Messrs J. Weir & J. Bell gave good reports of this O.L. Torbet (Partick T.) Mr. J. Weir gave a very good report of this O.L. Workington Players Mr. W. Laine reported that he did not consider any of these players of standard required by us. League Match v Secy. reported that these two matches had Huddersfield Town been fixed up as follows. C. L. match v at Huddersfield on Apl. 28th & at W. Bromwich on Mar. 31st W. Bromwich Albion & these dates were confirmed.
