Clayton (Wolves) Mr. W. C. Cuff gave a good report of this player
& thought he should be seen again. Mr. A. Coffey was
not so impressed with him, & thought Morris, (R. B.) & Thompson (I. L.) were
excellent. Both Directors were agreed that Galby
(I. R.) had given a splendid exhibition.
Payne (Luton) Mr. E. Green considered that this player
had done badly, taken throughout the match. He
also reported that when watching Hullett, he had
not been unduly impressed by his play & Mr. J.
Fare was of a similar opinion.
Adey (Carlisle) Mr. Fare gave a poor report of this player.
Cattin (Shef. Wedy.) Sec'y. stated that this player had had
a big share in keeping his team from an overwhelming
defeat at Stoke.
Crook (B'burn) Neither Mr. G. Evans nor H. Hart thought
this F. B. was quite good enough.
Casins (Newcastle) Mr. T. W. Lake did not recommend this
player, but was very much impressed by Docking (I. L.).
E. Taylor (Wolver'ton) Similarly, Mr. H. Lyon did not fancy
the player he had especially watched, but was pleased
with the form of Dowen (R. B.) of the same team.
Scottish Players Mr. Cochran reported well of Carabine,
(R. B.) of 3rd Lanark, & Logan (R. B.) of Hibs.
N. E. Players Mr. W. Laine gave a good report of
Humble, L. B. of Darlington. He also gave some in-
formation regarding the attention to Silk, Southport,
of certain League Clubs.
Scotland v England Messrs Cuff, Green, Coffey, Evans & Percy,
