Hardman An application from this player (who is an
Amateur league player for Blackpool) for a
trial having been received it was resolved
to invite him to play against Liverpool
on Monday night and to notify Blackpool F. C.
Everton v Mr. Clayton having referred to the League
Blackburn R. match here on Easter Monday and as to
the play of our team, and also as to the
overtures made by certain officials of the
Blackburn Rovers F. C. in connection with
such match it was resolved that the
Secretary write inviting the F. A. to institute
an enquiry into the circumstances surrounding
the match in question & the conduct of our
players & of the officials of the Rovers F. C.
& suggesting that such commission if
appointed consist of Messrs. Clegg, Crump
& Hughes the League also to be notified
that such invitation was being given,
and that such letter of invitation be approved
by the Chairman & Mr. Clayton before being
despatched.
Portsmouth Resolved that the guarantee of £75 with
half gross gate over £150 for match with our
full League team at Portsmouth on the 25th
inst. be accepted.
The Secretary was instructed to write for
guarantee for matches at Swindon
Reading Northampton & Bristol.
