[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel
May 14th 1913.]
Present All the Directors except Mr. Allman.
Ritchie The Secretary reported his visit to Falkirk on
Saturday last and that whilst Ritchie was a
fair player he was not, in his opinion, fit for
engagement.
Hodge That Hodge was playing quite out of his class
and he could not recommend him.
Stalker The Secretary was instructed to engage Stalker
at a salary of 25/- per week in the summer and
50/- in the winter.
Palmer The Secretary read letter from Bristol Rovers F.C.
offering to accept £800 clear to them together
with the free transfer of W. Murray for the transfer
to us of Palmer - he was instructed to offer
them Murray and £800 gross for such transfer.
King The Secretary reported the state of negotiations hereon,
namely, that the Club had agreed to accept
£500 clear to them but that the player's demands
were exorbitant and that there the matter remained
for the present. He also reported that he had
recommended the Partick Thistle Club to engage
our player Smith and he was instructed to
negotiate for the transfer of King up to £800
using Smith as far as possible as part of the
purchase money.
