had now completed 21 years service as a Director
of the Club and his proposal that the same be
acknowledged in the usual manner was unanimously
carried.
It was therefore resolved that a function be held at
23rd the Exchange Station Hotel on Tuesday the 17th inst.,
that the Directors hold their meeting at the Exchange
Station Hotel at 5 p. m. on that day, that a Dinner
be given at 6 p. m. to which the Players, Representatives
of the Local Press, all Ex-Directors of the Company
since September 1st 1892 who are at the present
time Shareholders of the Company, Mr. Davies' two
sons Messrs. John Davies Jr. & F. G. Davies, The President
of the League and the President, Treasurer and
Secretary of the Liverpool County Association be
invited - that at such Dinner a presentation be
made to Mr. John Davies and cheques for £500 to
Val Harris and Harry Makepeace respectively be
given - that a Smoking Concert be held at the
Carlton Restaurant at 7:45 p. m. on that evening
and that invitations be sent to all the Shareholders.-
that all the details in connection with these functions
be left in the hands of the Chairman and Secretary.
The Secretary reported the Inter-League match
Central League v. North Eastern League at Newcastle
on Saturday last but the play of both teams was
moderate only and that there was no outstanding
player on either side.
