[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel
April 21st 1914.]
Present All the Directors except Mr. Allman.
Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and
confirmed as were the minutes of the Finance meeting of April 14th.
Nixon The Secretary reported that he had heard
nothing further from Linfield F.C. hereon.
Fox Mr. Green and the Secretary reported their visit
to Bradford and that the matter was then left
with an offer by us of £1400 gross for their
consideration - that Bradford City had telephoned
the following day requiring £2000 gross - that the
Secretary (Mr. Cuff) had increased his offer to
£1500 whereupon they promised to confer and
communicate with us again, which however up
to the present they had not done. The Secretary
was instructed to keep the matter in train.
Barnes Derby County wrote that they were not prepared
offer £1500 to transfer Barnes at present but that they were
prepared to accept offers for Buckley and
Leonard - no action.
Kirsopp The Secretary reported that Blackburn Rovers had
this player under observation.
Robertson That Robertson would not become a professional
for any Club.
