Halliwell The Secretary was instructed to make inquiries re
this Barnsley player.
The Secretary reported that Howarth desired to
become a professional and was prepared to accept
a sum of 25/- per week, he to be allowed to continue
his work. The Secretary was instructed to offer
him an engagement at 10/- per week.
The Secretary was instructed to send a donation
of One guinea to Mrs. Uniacke wife of Major R. F.
Uniacke of Holly Lodge, Ash Vale, Surrey, towards
the purchase of footballs for Troops at the front.
The Secretary reported that Nuttall had expressed a
desire for his name to be placed on the transfer list
and his wish was acceded to, the fee to be £250.
The Secretary reported that he had offered the use
of our ground for the final tie and that he had
received a reply from the F.A. that our letter would
have consideration.
It was resolved that the following prizes be
awarded in the recent Billiard Handicap :-
1st Prize £2:10:0 - 2nd Prize £1:10:0.
