prevailing in London.
The Secretary reported that Oldham Athletic
had consented to release us from our engagement
with them at Oldham on the 20th inst in
consideration of our either giving them another
Saturday or if the match had to be played on
a week day we were to make their gate receipts
up to £20 and by arrangement with Liverpool
this contingent liability was to be a charge on
the gate receipts of our rearranged match with
them at Goodison Park on that day.
The Secretary reported that our match at Bradford
on Saturday last was abandoned after 35 minutes
play owing to the weather conditions. That all
our players had recovered from the exposure.
That the conduct of the players at Blackpool was
of an exemplary character and that the Captain
speaking for the players expressed the desire if
the team was successful on Saturday at Chelsea
to return to Blackpool on Monday for the week.
It was resolved to accede to this request.
Mr. Coffey and John Fare reported their visit to
Preston on Thursday last and that the best Bristol
City players was Harris the outside left, that Brown
the inside right was only fair, Ford the outside
right of Preston played very well.
