Minutes The Minutes of the last Meeting and of the Finance
Meeting were read and confirmed.
The Secretary reported that Maconnachie was
doubtful owing to leg injuries, that Kirsopp and
Parker, who had been suffering from minor injuries,
would be available, that Makepeace had sustained
a fractured collar bone and that Fern would test
his ability tomorrow.
That according to Dr. Jones' report Jefferis was
suffering from a loose cartilage. The Secretary
was instructed to confer with Jefferis and Dr. Baxter
and if Jefferis was willing, to arrange for an
operation to be performed.
The Chairman reported the business transacted at
the Extraordinary Meetings of the League and F. A.
yesterday. That resolutions were passed to the effect
that the maximum wage should henceforth be £3
per week during the season. That the season should
commence on the 2nd August and finish on April 30th
and that consequently no summer wages would be
payable to players. That players now in the
employment of Clubs would be eligible for reengagement
