[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park,
August 24th 1915]
Present All the Directors except Dr. Baxter, Mr. J. G. Davies & Mr. Green.
Minutes The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.
The Chairman reported that our deputation together
with Messrs McKenna and Joseph West representing
Liverpool F.C. interviewed Mr. H. P. Cleaver with respect
to the assessments of the Everton and Liverpool Football
Grounds.
That Mr. Cleaver concurred in the view that the
respective assessments would have to be considerably
reduced.
That he had not up to then had much opportunity
of considering the matter but that he proposed to do so
with a small Committee of the Guardians and
would then invite the deputations to confer with him again.
That in the meantime we should not pay our rates but
give formal notice of appeal to the Overseers of Walton
and to the Guardians and such notice had been given
by the Secretary.
Programme Letter from Mr. E. A. Morton was read accepting the
Tender terms offered by us and expressing thanks for the
generous manner in which he had been met.
The Secretary reported that Liverpool had not as yet
further considered the price of admission to their Paddock.
That Dr. Baxter and Mr. McKenna's interview with the
Manager of the Tramways had resulted in the intimation
that our matches would be advertised on the tramcars
