[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel
January 5th 1916.]
Present All the Directors except Messrs Coffey & Green.
Minutes The minutes of the last two meetings were read and
confirmed.
The Secretary reported that the match at Oldham
on Saturday last was abandoned after 45 minutes play
owing to the storm.
That having received the offer (through Mr. McKenna
of Liverpool) of the services of Joseph Smith and
Robert McNeal of West Bromwich Albion he had, after
consultation with the Chairman, seen these players at
Shotton and had offered them a game, which offer was
readily accepted.
That in other respects, owing to injuries, the constitution
of the selected team had been changed and that the
following players played at Oldham:-
Fern
Smith Maconnachie
Brown Fleetwood McNeal
Chedgzoy Jefferis Howarth Clennell Harrison
The question of replay was left in the hands of the
Chairman and Secretary to settle when necessary.
Snoddy The Secretary reported that having heard that Thomas
Snoddy the right full back of St. Mirren F. C. was stationed
at Hooton and anxious to have a game, he had been over
to see him and had promised him a game with our
