[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park,
August 18th 1914]
Present All the Directors except Dr. Baxter.
The Secretary reported that Dr. Baxter had attended
the Bradford Hotel this afternoon under the
impression that the meeting was to be held there.
Minutes The minutes of the last meeting and of the Finance
Meeting of July 14th and of the Ground Committee
meeting of July 31st were read and confirmed.
Gwladys The Secretary reported that in accordance with
Street the resolution of the Grounds Committee he had
undertaken that the Stand to be erected on the
North side of the ground would not exceed 55 feet
in height and be set back 6 feet from the present
palisading. The Secretary's action was confirmed.
Club Picnic The action of the Chairman in postponing the
Picnic on account of the unsettled state of affairs
in the Country was confirmed and it was resolved
that no Picnic be held this year.
Fox The Chairman reported the receipt of a letter from
Bradford City F.C. intimating that our proposed
visit to Bradford would be useless as that Club
had decided not to negotiate for the transfer to us
of O. Fox.
W. Stevenson The Chairman reported a visit from W. Stevenson
who intimated that he had taken a Public House
in Blackburn and that therefore he wished to
