That he (the Chairman) informed him that such
permission could not be granted and that he and
his Co-directors had a strong objection to any of
their players being connected with the Licensing
trade.
The Secretary reported that Stevenson had
absented himself from training today.
The action of the Chairman was confirmed and
it was resolved that the Secretary see Stevenson
with powers to terminate his engagement on
condition that the salary paid to Stevenson from
May 1st be refunded by him to the Club and
that he be placed on the open to transfer list
at a fee to be hereafter affixed.
