[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park,
August 26th 1914]
Present All the Directors.
Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read and
confirmed.
Stevenson The action of the Secretary in consenting to the payment
by Stevenson of the wages refund of £64 in three
instalments was confirmed.
War Relief It was resolved that a donation of £500 be made to
Fund the local Branch of the Prince of Wales Relief Fund.
It was further unanimously resolved that our Chairman
Mr. Clayton attend the meeting of the Consultative Committee
of the Football Association on Monday morning next and
propose that a series of Inter County matches be played
during the season, that the net proceeds be paid to the
War Fund and that our Club offer to provide a Cup
for such competition.
Third Team The following matches were arranged :-
Fixtures Septr. 5 Earlstown Rovers at Earlstown
12 Skelmersdale United at Skelmersdale
Dec 12 St. Helens Town at St. Helens
25 Ormskirk at Ormskirk
An invitation from Tranmere Rovers to send a team
to play them on Saturday in aid of the War Fund
was declined.
The Secretary reported that John Page had consulted
him with respect to his position with Gainsborough
