[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison
Park September 29 1914]
Present All the Directors except Messrs Davies
& Green.
Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read
& confirmed.
Page Jno. The Engagement of Jno. Page at £2 per
week, the payment of his rail fare
and a transfer fee to Gainsboro Trinity
of £15 was confirmed.
Gwladys St. The Secretary reported that the deposits
had been paid and contracts exchanged
herein. He was instructed to have
the property insured.
Ireland The Secretary reported the visit of himself
& Jno. Fare to Southampton.
That Ireland played very well.
That Green right back and Small
right half also played well.
That Southampton asked £1000 for Ireland
that he the Secretary could recommend
the engagement of all three.
John Fares views conceding with the
above it was resolved that Jno. Fare
see them play at Croydon on Saturday
next and further report and that if
favorable, negotiations for their transfer
be opened early next week.
