Silver Badge The Chairman read letter from the Lord Mayor
Fund thanking the Directors for their generous contribution of
£50 to his Silver Badge Fund.
Trainer Resolved that the Wages of John Elliott,
Trainer, be increased from £3.5.0 to £3.10.0 per
week, the same to date from the 1st March 1919.
Exeter visit The Secretary reported his visit to Exeter to
see the Crownhill Camp players, who were not of the
class required by this Club, but recommended that
the left wing & centre forward should be brought down
on Saturday week to give the Board an opportunity of
seeing them play. Also that Rounds, centre half should
be given a trial.
Resolved that these men be tested against
Bolton Wanderers Reserve at Home.
League Meeting Resolved that the Chairman & Secretary be
deputed to represent this Club at the Special General
Meeting of the League on the 10th inst. at the Grand Hotel
Manchester.
The Chairman having submitted the agenda of the
aforesaid Meeting.
Resolved that this Club oppose the increase of
the League to 44 Clubs.
Also that we see what is proposed re the question
of agreeing to a 20% levy on the Net Gate for visiting Clubs.
International The Chairman reported that he had been
Match approached by Mr. J. McKenna on behalf of Mr. Clegg
of the F.A. re the International Match with Scotland
being played at Goodison Park on the 26th April next
& he had provisionally agreed to same.
Resolved that the action of the Chairman be &
is hereby approved & confirmed.
