Committee meetings held on the 5th inst. were
read & confirmed.
Finance The gross gate v Huddersfield Res.
was reported to be £80. 9. 2. Tax £20. 3. 1.
The 20% received from Sheffield United
was reported to be £56. 1. 1.
Report of ) Reports were received of the matches
Matches ) v Huddersfield 1-0 & Huddersfield Res. 3-2.
Zeller Mr. J. Fare reported that this player
(Cleator Moor) was of no use to us but that Alford
(O. L.) of Barrow was worth following - Decided
to see latter again.
Wadsworth &) Messrs Green & Sawyer reported on their
Hargreaves ) visit to Nelson that Hargreaves (I. L.) played
(Nelson) ) very well & Wadsworth was not tested
enough to come to a decision. Decided
that Mr. Sawyer see them again next Saturday.
Salt Mr. Francis reported favorably on
(Garston Gasworks) this player. Decided to give him a trial
Jardine The Chairman explained the position
(Wrexham) with regard to this player. It was agreed
that Mr. Fare interview his father tomorrow
& offer to allow him to live in Wrexham for
2 months & in meantime to try & get work in
L'pool.
