Strachan Mr. J. Craig again reported very
(Dunfermline) favorably on this player & it was decided
that Mr. Green & Secy. watch him play on
Sat. next & if satisfied to endeavour to
secure his transfer.
Williams Mr. Kirkwood reported that this
(Connahs Quay) player was not of the required standard
but that outside right was very good
& should be seen again.
Ellesmere Port) Mr. Kirkwood also reported that
Players ) the O. R., C. F. & I. L. of this team were very
good. Decided that Mr. Sawyer watch them
again on Sat. next.
Puddefoot Mr. W. J. Sawyer reported on his interview
with West Ham F. C. & stated they were not prepared
to part with this player at present, but if
they decided to do so would give us first refusal.
Fazackerley The Secy. reported that he had
obtained this player's transfer from Sheffield
United for a fee of £4000 and had signed
him on at £9 per week with permission to
live at Preston, but to train here 3 days
per Week.
Atkin & Paterson The Secy. reported that these two
(Retford Town) players were not of the standard required.
L'pool University An application for the use of the
ground for match L'pool v Leeds Universities
on 17th inst. was granted.
Chelsea F. C. A. Letter was read from this club
asking if we ware prepared to part with any
players. Decided to ask what price they
would be prepared to give for Kirsopp.
Stroud Secy. reported that this player had
asked to be released to return home to complete
his apprenticeship. Agreed to & left to Secy. to
arrange.
