Medical Officers The Chairman reported that he had
interviewed Dr. Cecil Baxter and had agreed with
him to accept the position of Salaried M. D. at
a fee of 60 guineas per anm. Action confirmed.
R. Downs Dr. Baxter was asked to fix an
appointment for a specialist to see this players
ankle.
Reports re Players Messrs A. Coffey & H. Makepeace reported
Hill (Plymouth Arg.) favorably on this player and Secy. was
instructed to enquire if the Club was prepared
to part with him.
Toner (Arsenal) Mr. W. J. Sawyer reported that this player
had not played but Secy. was instructed to
ask Arsenal F. C. to fix a price.
Townrow (Clapton C.) Mr. W. J. Sawyer reported favorably on this
centre half & suggested he be seen again.
Henderson (Rangers) Mr. J. Fare again reported favorably on this
player but stated that Rangers F. C. were not
prepared to part at present. This was confirmed
Smith (Rangers) by letter which suggested they might part with
J. R. Smith but the Board decided to take as
action.
Simon (Winsford) Mr. H. Cooke reported favorably on this
player but thought he was rather too old.
Rawlings (Shampler) Mr. J. Sharp reported very favorably on
this player but stated that his club would
not part.
Bullock (Bury) Messrs E. Green & A. R. Wade reported favorably
on this player & Secy. was instructed to enquire
if club were prepared to negotiate for his transfer.
Adamson (Bury) They also reported favorably on this player
Caddick (Wolves) & Baugh (Wolves) Also that Caddick (C. H. Wolves)
was not of required standard for us.
