[Meeting of Directors held at
Exchange Station Hotel L'pool
on Tuesday 17th April 1928]
Present Messrs W. C. Cuff (Chair) E. Green, W. J. Sawyer,
J. Sharp, A. R. Wade & Dr. C. J. Baxter.
Bereavement Before commencing the business of the meeting
the Chairman referred in sympathetic terms of
the loss sustained by Mr. W. C. Gibbins in the
tragic death of his Son and the following
resolution was unanimously passed.
"The Directors learn, with the deepest regret of
"the terrible calamity which has befallen their
"colleague, Mr. W. C. Gibbins, by the tragic death
"of his Son and desire to extend to himself
"& the members of his family, their sincere sympathy
"with them in their very sad bereavement."
Minutes The minutes of meeting held on the 10th
inst. were read & confirmed.
Finance The following receipts were reported:-
Gate v Derby C. Res. £76.9.6 Tax £0.16.5.
Share of Gates in L'pool Cup Semi finals £27.6.4.
Bank Balance £8580.8.3 Dr.
Cheque was signed for the following:-
T. H. McIntosh Wages &c. £380.0.0.
Dr. & Trainer's Report Dr. C. Baxter & Trainer Cooke reported
all players fit except Forshaw, Houghton
who was to be examined for Knee trouble & White
was not fit to play in both matches at weekend.
Reports of Matches Reports were received of the matches v
Sheffield United 3-1 & Derby County Res. 3-1.
