Reports re Players Messrs A. Coffey & Secy. reported that they
McPhaill (Airdrie) had accepted our offer of £5750 for this
player, but they had been unable to come
to terms with him. It was decided that
they proceed to Airdrie again with powers to
offer up to £10000 for McPhaill & Weldon.
Shaw (Wolves) Mr. J. Elliott gave a very good report
of this player and also Higham (R.H.).
Weldon (Airdrie) Mr. J. Fare gave a good report of this
player & stated he appeared to be quite sound.
Simpson (Howden) Mr. W. Laine gave very good reports
Easton (Blyth) of these two players. Letters were also read
from Messrs J. E. Spence & S. Settle.
Harts Benefit Secy. was instructed to apply to the
League for permission to pay this player £650.
