Report of Matches Reports were received of the matches v Charlton
Ath. 7-0. Derby County Res. 1-2 & Shell Mex 3-5.
Dr. & Trainer's Report Dr. W. T. Davies & Trainer Cooke reported all players
would be fit except Bryan.
Team Selections The following teams were selected :-
v Grimsby Town (h) 14th inst.
Coggins, Williams, Cresswell, McClure, Gee, Thomson,
Critchley, Dunn, Dean, Johnson & Stein. Res. Rigby.
Cup Tie Replay It was decided in the event of a reply at Grimsby
to travel on Monday & return on Tuesday after the match.
Reports re Players Messrs. A. Coffey & C. Hayes gave good reports of these
Oakes & Roberts two players, especially the former. The Club had
(Port Vale) promised to let us know the transfer fees required.
Helliwell (Stockport) Messrs W. C. Gibbins & Secy. gave good reports of this
player. Secy. stated that fee asked was £2500.
Roberts (Wellington) Mr. J. Fare reported that this inside left was
very promising.
Sherlock & Salmond Mr. J. McGill gave a good report of the former
(Hoylake) but a moderate one of the latter.
