[Meeting of Directors held at
Exchange Hotel, Liverpool on
Tuesday, 5th May 1931]
Present Mr. W. C. Cuff (Chair) & all other Directors.
Minutes The Minutes of meeting held on the 28th ult.
& Finance Committee held on the 30th were read
& confirmed.
Finance Cheques were signed for the following:-
T. H. McIntosh Wages £ 50.0.0.
Football League 1% £ 14.7.8.
Wm. Rowlands & Co. Re Draining &c. £420.0.0.
Reports re Players Mr. E. Green reported that this player was very
Rounce (Q. P. R.) lively & worked hard, but roves about and adopts
the W. formation. He could not recommend him.
Jones & Prest Messrs A. Coffey & C. Hayes gave a good report
(Burnley) of the former but the latter was poor in phisique.
Chairman & Secy. were asked to make enquiries as
to fee required for Jones.
Archer (Walsall) Mr. J. Fare gave a good report this player. He
was good both in attack & defence, about 19 or 20
5'8" & 10½ st. Chairman & Secy. given powers to negotiate
for his transfer.
Mitchell (Dton.) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported that this O. R. had
not played well, was speedy but had little ball
control. Mr. W. Laine however gave a fairly good
report of him.
Kelsall & Foulker Mr. J. Elliott reported that the former
(Connahs Quay) had given a moderate display & that the latter was
fair against Scottish Junior team.
Birtley (Crook) Mr. W. Laine gave a good report of this outside
right.
Sutcliffe (Prescot) Mr. J. McGill reported favorably of this goalkeeper.
