Present Mr W. C. Cuff (Chair) & all other Directors
except Mr W. C. Gibbins.
Oakes (Port Vale) Secy. reported that when at Henley on the 20th inst.
the Port Vale F.C. had informed him that they were
prepared to accept a sum of £6.500 for this players
transfer. The Board decided they could not see
their way to go to this figure, but to make a
definite offer of £5000.
Jones (Burnley) Letter read from Burnley F.C. stating they
could not accept our offer of £1500 for this players
transfer but asked a fee of £3000. It was
agreed that we renew our previous offer.
Alterations to Secy. called attention to the proposal of the
League Rules Derby County F.C. that the percentage paid to Visiting
clubs be increased from 20% to 40%. It was
decided that we strenuously oppose this.
