Reports re players Mr. E. Green reported that the deputation were
Stevenson (Rangers) satisfied with this player's display. Negotiations
were opened for his transfer & terms with the
club were agreed but the player would not
consent to leave his club. Decided that no
further negotiation to be opened.
Mills (Clapton O.) Messrs J. H. Ford & H. Hart reported that they
were not too impressed with this player who
was 21 yrs. old & 5'6".
Blackman (Q.P.R.) They also reported that this C.F. was a
bustling type of player, good shot & 22 years of age.
Heale (Bristol City) A further good report of this player was
received from Mr. W. J. Wallace.
Dewar (M/c United) Secy. reported that this player had been
offered to us by the M/c U. club at a reasonable
fee, but the Chairman had enquired & found
they required £5000. It was decided that Mr. J.
Sharp watch him play with power to offer £1500.
Gallacher (Chelsea) Dr. C. S. Baxter withdrew his notice of motion
re this player.
C. L. Match v L'pool Secy. reported that the L'pool F.C. were unable
to fulfil this engagement on 13th prox., owing to their
having an F.A. cup tie at home on that date. It
was agreed to ask the Oldham & M/c United clubs
if they would their fixtures forward & failing
their doing so, to play the County Combn. match
v Skelmersdale United at Goodison Park on that date.
Special Training It was decided to take certain players to
Buxton on Sat. evening 6th Jany. & stay there
until the afternoon of the 12th, proceed to B'gham
