The reply to this was left in the hands of
the Chairman.
Merseyside Hospital Letter read from this Council asking if
Council we would entertain their suggestion to play a
match composed of teams selected from Everton
& New Brighton and Liverpool & Tranmere Rovers
for the benefit of the Merseyside Hospitals, but
after careful consideration it was decided that
same could not be entertained.
New Brighton F. C. Secy. reported that this club were posting
a cheque for £50 on a/c today.
J. G. Watson Letter received from Coventry City F. C. asking
if we would be prepared to transfer this player
& if so at what fee. It was decided to ask them
a fee of £500.
Transfer of Shares The following transfer was approved:-
Exos. J. Townsend to T. E. Townsend 2 Shares Nos. 2422 & 548.
N. H. Insurance It was agreed that the Chairman meet the
players re this matter.
Bradford City F. C. Letter received from this club asking for a
further 3 months extension of the Bill due 1st prox.
for £450. Decided not to entertain same.
Ellesmere Port Town An appeal for assistance having been
F. C. received from this club, it was decided to
grant them a donation of £50.
Proposed Reductions It was ordered that this matter be
of Admission for Boys placed on the agenda for next meeting.
Tour to S. Africa This matter was under discussion, but it
was agreed that before deciding to do anything
definitely, the players be asked if they would
be willing to entertain the trip.
