Leighton (Newcastle) Mr. W. Lane gave a good report of this player,
who had played at R. H. & also of Connelly (I. L.) Secy.
reported that the Club were not prepared to part with them.
Graham (Bury) Mr. F. W. Lake did not see anything very
useful in this player's work.
Edwards (Bottling Wood F. C.) Mr. R. Bentham was greatly impressed
with this amateur C. H. who was 18, 5'9" & 12st.
It was reported that Mr. Pickering was in Wigan endeavouring
to secure his signature to League forms.
F. L. Match & Leeds Utd. Agreed that we suggest March 3rd for
this re-arranged fixture.
Danish Tour (238) Secy. reported that we had now
received confirmation of the offer of £800 for 3 matches in
Copenhagen, May 19-21 & 23, 1937. (244)
F. A. Circular It was decided that we agree to the
further recommendation of the Sub-Committee appointed
to consider the revision of Rules 29 & 30.
Liverpool F. C. Letter read from this club, inviting
any members of our Board who could, to attend the
unveiling by Mr. W. C. Cuff, of a memorial to the late
Mr. John McKenna, at Anfield on the 27th inst. Mr. T.
Percy signified his willingness to attend.
Ellesmere Port Schools F. A. Letter from this Association requesting
permission for Mercer & Jones to play in an Old Boys
match during the close Season, was read. Agreed that,
subject to the necessary consent by the County Associations
concerned, we were agreeable to their request. (247)
