Mr. Britton reported his visit to the
Dundalk v Drumcondra game to see Mr. Carthy
{DUNDALK}
(C. H.), but was very disappointed. He was not as
good as Scott of the 'B' Team.
Charlton Athletic F. C. had notified us
that they had withdrawn their proposal to
the Football League, to pay increasing Benefits,
owing to lack of support.
A request from the Newark Imperial
Carnival Band to be allowed to play at one of
our home games was turned down.
A request from the Lancashire
Football League to consider entering a team
in the proposed new Saturday Section was
deferred.
A letter from Dr. Schricker was read,
doubting the possibility of a Swiss Tour this
Summer. A proposal had been received to play
a match at Rheims with a guarantee of
£1200, with the possibility of a match at
Bordeaux as well. Agreed that Mr. Britton
explore the possibilities and make further enquiries.
In the event of Fulham winning
their F. A. Cup replay, and leaving us without
a fixture on Feb. 24th, it was agreed that an
attractive friendly match be arranged if possible.
Hickson had twisted his ankle and
had been ordered 2 weeks rest. Donovan had
been troubled with nose bleeding, and an
operation was suggested.
Mr. Fare (32) It was reported that Mr. Fare had died
on Sunday Feb. 11th and it was agreed that
her pension should now cease.
