April's Object of the Month has been selected to commemorate the 25th anniversary of what has been described as "Goodison's Greatest Night" - the match programme from the Everton v Bayern Munich, second leg, European Cup Winners' Cup Semi-Final.
The first leg of the Semi-Final at the Olympic Stadium in Munich ended in a goalless draw, so the stage was set for a thrilling second match.
Goodison was packed and the atmosphere was electric. However, the home crowd were silenced in the 37th minute when Dieter Hoeness gave the visitors the lead.
In the second half, Everton chased the game, with Graeme Sharp and Andy Gray causing endless trouble for the Bayern defenders. Sharp equalised just three minutes after the re-start and then Gray fired Everton ahead on 72 minutes. Everton continued to attack and Trevor Steven finished the game with Everton's third goal just four minutes from time.
After the game, Bayern coach Udo Lattek conceded that Everton were "the best team in Europe".
