FOOTBALL FANS DISCOVER THE EVERTON COLLECTION AT VENUES ACROSS LIVERPOOL

Between the 2 - 7 August the Everton Collection project team took the Everton Collection on the road to libraries and other venues in Liverpool. The Everton Collection Community Roadshow featured information display stands, replica football kits from the past, photographs and other documents from the Everton archives.

Hundreds of football fans young and old visited the Roadshow at Wavertree, Walton, Speke, Sefton and Spellow Community Libraries and at the World Museum Liverpool. Visitors met the project team and learnt more about the Collection. Children also enjoyed dressing up as Dixie Dean!

The Roadshow was also an opportunity for fans to add their memories to the Everton Collection.  Fans who brought along their favourite piece of EFC memorabilia were recorded talking about their Everton stories and photographed with their piece of Club history.  The Everton Collection project team would like to say a big thank you to all those who came to the Roadshow to share their memories with us. Their stories will now become part of the Everton Collection and will be available to download from the website very soon.  In the meantime please listen to some other fans memories here.
