John has supported Everton since 1952 and remembers many highs - and quite a few lows!

A major high for John was attending the Cup Winners' Cup Final in Rotterdam and seeing the Blues win 3-1 in 1985.

A low point was the 5th Round of the FA Cup when we lost to Sheffield Wednesday 3-1. That weekend, John and his friend (Tom Haver) had cycled to his grandmother's house in Barnsley on the Friday night to watch the match on the Saturday. They returned on the Sunday over the Pennines, having to carry their bikes through the snow. John has never forgotten that weekend!

His favourite player was Dennis Stevens, a player who was key to Harry Catterick's successful teams - "he was a real workhorse and unsung hero" says John.
